Regardless, there\u2019s clearly a lot to unpack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section icon-highlight-box\" style=\"margin-top:30px;margin-bottom:30px\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background-holder\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background\"><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__foreground\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-content\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:10%\">\n<div style=\"margin-top:-10px;margin-right:-20px\" class=\"wp-block-getwid-icon alignright is-aligned-right\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-icon__wrapper has-text-color has-dark-blue-color\" style=\"font-size:60px\"><i class=\"fas fa-exclamation-circle\"><\/i><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column\" style=\"flex-basis:90%\">\n<p class=\"icon-highlight-text\">If you approach your search analytics with a keyword-obsessed mindset, you\u2019ll end up missing a lot of nuanced details that can give you meaningful pointers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s look at an example search to see how we can interpret it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suppose that you look into your store\u2019s search records and find that someone searched for \u201cbuy book store\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What could that mean? Well, let\u2019s break it down. Buy has imminent purchase intent, so that part is entirely clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section colorful-highlight-box\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background-holder\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background\"><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__foreground\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-content\">\n<p><strong><strong>The next part is more ambiguous, though, because there are several possible readings:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-0aae2c2c-f7ea-452a-9d42-4ae98d990ff5\" class=\"white-highlight-list\"><li>They want to buy a book from a store (ideally yours).<\/li><li>They want to buy a book about stores, or about a particular store.<\/li><li>They want to buy a book about storage, or how to store things.<\/li><li>They want to actually buy a store that sells books.<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>These aren\u2019t equally likely, of course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone interested in a book about a particular store would name it, someone interested in buying a business would be looking into businesses for sale through dedicated marketplaces, not eCommerce stores, and I don\u2019t imagine many people would think to refer to bookcases as \u201cbook stores\u201d \u2014 but the point is that they\u2019re possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-advanced-spacer\" style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"chapter-heading\">Here are some to get us started:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section getwid-margin-top-none\" style=\"margin-bottom:-20px\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__wrapper getwid-padding-top-none getwid-padding-bottom-none getwid-padding-left-none getwid-padding-right-none getwid-margin-left-none getwid-margin-right-none\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-wrapper\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background-holder\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__background\"><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__foreground\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__content\"><div class=\"wp-block-getwid-section__inner-content\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator blog-content-separator\"\/>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Are more of your searches very succinct, the kinds of search strings that you\u2019d tend to get from savvy internet users? Think of bare-bones searches reduced to keywords. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBuy pizza two toppings dessert\u201d might be how someone would search for a place to buy pizza with two toppings and a dessert, for example.
